I've got some hardcore hunting buddies who are sluts for the stuff..
I refuse to pay for their high dollar ads and displays.
I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...

I have a bunch of it and love it. Have only paid retail for 1 or 2 pieces, got the rest on sale for 40% off or more. Winter/spring when places are closing out last years gear is a good time to get deals. My main hunitng is elk, either archery or rifle or like this year both.

Among the best stuff made. Excellent design and quality. I have two Sitka gear shirts, and won't be buying any more as I'm OD on clothing now. If I was starting out new, I'd go Sitka Gear all the way.

Sitka, in my experience, is good stuff but seriously overpriced-at least their clothing. However,I have a Sitka Pack(Bivy 45) and it is worth every penny I paid for it.

I've got a good pile of Sitka gear and am always on the lookout for more as I really like it.
There is no reason to pay retail, most of the stuff that I have purchased I got for close to half of list price. It's out there if you look hard enough.
That's ok, I'll ass shoot a dink.

My wife loves the Sitka patterns and has made me a very happy man. I have a bunch of their stuff and after spend 9 days of a 10 day hunt with daily rains am sold on "high dollar" equipment. I have 8 pieces of their equipment and all has exceeded my expectations.
I'm certain there is equally as good, lower priced, clothes out there - I just don't know what it is.

From the reviews and research I've read it seems that it has gotten better. Some quality/durability issues with the earlier stuff (stitching in the crotch of some pant models blowing out).
I have yet to find any screaming deals on any. Looking to get a hardshell. I wish they would make various models with the different patterns instead of a different model for each pattern, ie: downpour jacket in optifade forest vs. stormfront/sf lite in optifade open country. Not sure I want the brushed surface of the downpour or the more relaxed fit.

They also now offer their gear in solid colors like black, smoke, and a few others. For me the mountain mimicry pattern is the best choice for hunting up here and now that they offer the solid colors i may try and pick some up this coming winter when it all goes on clearance.

Well if you guys know of a good place to buy the stuff but don't want to give up your internet hidey hole you can IM me.
I typically hunt 3rd season so it's chilly, if not dern cold. Of course that's when the rockys don't decide to throw 50-60 degree weather at us right after it was 20 degrees in the morning.

The Ascent pants are the most comfortable hiking pants I've ever worn. The four way stretch is worth every penny.

I have a bunch and really like it.
I am truly amazed at how fast it dries.
