Does anyone have any information on use of this powder in cartridges based on the 06 case? It appears to be slower burning that IMR4350, possibly closer to IMR4831. Is it known to perform exceptionally well in any non-magnum cases? With heavy or light bullets?

Thanks to all for any feedback.

I just checked my records and found that in my '06 it was about 130 fps slower than H4350. I think I have a pretty fast lot of H4350 as it seems as fast or faster than my I4350. I've seen tests where other people had about a 100-120 fps spread among the 4350's. I do have a test batch waiting to try of exactly prepared cases and bullets with the 3 4350's but I just haven't got around to shooting them. All I can say is just because it seems slower doesn't mean it isn't making near the pressure. I'd say your safe using almost any 4350 data with the AA4350 but working up from there thinking it might be like I 4831 could be a challenge. If you get to the range with a chrono before I do (which is very likely) please let us know what you find. For me the savings of about $2-3/# of the AA powder isn't worth the "monkey time" trying to figure it out. I won't be buying any more of it.

I'm using this powder in:

22-6mm AI.
25-06 AI.
30-06 Spr.
6.5-250 Savage AI.
6.5-284
.264 WSSM
7mm RSAUM

It burns very clean , it's easy to meter and it is very consistant velocity-wise. I like it and I'll be using a lot more and frequently.

My 2 cents...

Best.
