A while back, there was a series of posts about Floyd's work that have dropped off due to age. How can I go about finding Floyd Butler rifles today? I'd like ideas on where I can go to locate Butler rifles that have Buhmiller barrels...

about 30 yrs ago floyds grandson made up several rifles for me he lived in north granville n.y. at the time he was building a lot of winning bench rest rifles at the time. last i heard he had gotten interested in another rifle discpline. some body on this board must know of him. and i am sure he could tell you about floyds rifles. good luck ed in idaho

Check gunsamerica 976561992, Mauser with Buhm barrel. I have two Butler Krags, never had them out of their stocks, do not know what markings might be under barrels, some day I will look but not in the near future, too much to do. Did you buy the .22 barrel from ebay a couple weeks ago?

Yes, I got the loose .220 barrel off of Gunbroker that you pointed me toward. Is that the one you are referring to? It came yesterday, and I cleaned it up a little - But I would like to find a working unit if I can find one reasonably... Anyonje have a clue as to what Floyd's grandson's name is???

We're liooking at the eBay barrel, but it is .50 cal black powder - curious thing, seller says it is new made in '68, but Buhmiller said he quit in '62, except for shipping barrels still in stock...
