Here are a couple that I built. Some nice rifles here, but i'm just a beginner. The Norma is the 3rd rifle I've built.
First rifle is a K98 that I build from scratch in .220 Swift. -Recycled stock -Action squared -bolt squared up -Adams & Bennett Barrel 24" 1-14" CM.... I know! -Bolt trigger -Leupold Bases/Rings -El' Cheapo Intensity Optics scope -FN bolt Shroud -Timney Main spring -Devcon Bedded/ Floated -10.5 lbs. -Smithed by Me -- Shoots 0.6" all day long!
Next is a 1914 Enfield 7mm Mag that I had done for me. -1914 action -Blackstar 1-10" 26" #7 Target Barrel -Timney trigger -Richards Stock -Weaver Bases/Rings -Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14AO. -Dayton Trister Cock on Open cocking piece. -Lightened firing pin/ timney spring -Glass Bedded/Floated. -Lightened safety lever. -12.75 lbs. -Smithed by Corky Holter --Shoots 3/8" groups when I'm doing my job with 162 A-Max's.
Next is my latest project in .308 Norma. -1917 Enfield Action -Hart SS 1-10" twist 26" #4 barrel -Timeny trigger -Devcon Bedded/ Floated -Custom Stock made from a homemade blank. (Cottonwood, with Ebony scales on the forearm.) -Decelorator Pacy Pad. -Dayton Trister Cock on Open/Firing Pin Spring/ Lightend Pin. -Shortend Bolt shroud. -shaved safety -Weaver Bases/Rings - Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14AO -11 lbs. -Smithed by Me. --Still need to finish the stock and blue it, but it's shooting in the 1/2" range.
I have a few more almost done, but that's another days story.
-Stock is carved out of a beautiful slab of Claro walnut. But theres good news and bad news. Good news: I got the stock for free with the purchase of the action. Bad news: The previous owner tried to inlet the stock himself and got up to 1/16 gap around the receiver area. Good news: Its amazing what kinds of evils you can hide with Acraglas and dye.
-Pillar bedded w/Acraglas gel with powdered stainless steel reinforcement fill. Barrel floated.
-Decelerator pad
-Will use Warne or Millet scope ring mounts
Bring enough gun and know how to use it.
