I think it's around 12". I thought about buying it earlier. The original owner had it built for his daughter.

You can hook the tape on the pad and measure to the trigger.

Nice rifle.

You can measure the LOP with your tape, as it is the distance from the trigger face to the rear edge of the buttpad. I'd likely just pull the tape straight back to the middle of the pad.

When I move the white line and overlay it on the measuring tape I get well less than 13". The original owner listed it at 12.25". Has it been lengthened?

So you are representing that the LOP is 13.5"? I get the feeling you are being evasive. Why not take a pic with the measuring tape pictured as it should be to measure LOP?

Here's why I think you are being evasive

1 - you stated that you were not sure how to measure LOP. You can't be serious.

2 - you did not position the measuring tape in a manner to accurately determine LOP

3 - you did not answer my question. Are you representing that the rifle has a 13.5" LOP?

4 - here is your quote from when you listed the rifle the first time.

Quote
YES LOP IS 12.25 INCHES.

THIS GUN WAS BUILT TO BE A CARRY GUN.

5 - you stated that the stock has not been modified. Below is the listing as produced by the original owner of the rifle. He states that the LOP is 12.25" and also stated in the posting that the rifle was built for his daughter (hence the short LOP)

here is what i said on this post

from the front of the trigger face to the middle of the butpad is 13.5 inches

when i quoted the 12.25 it is waht the old owner told me then I was told to measure it a different way, It seems that there are a couple of different ways to measure . and as i quoted before Im not really sure how to measure the LOP....... look in the trhead and another member said 13.5 as well......................and to be quite honest with you the stock is a bell an carlson stock...if you dont like it replace it,,,,,,

what i am representing is whats in the pics in my post

man i really hope you never try and sell something on here and I was actually taking into consideration buying your 270 that been sitting on the boards. NOT

any way I hope you have a good night.

Thanks
