Asking for comments/opinions/comparisons on Leica 8x50 and/or Zeiss 8x56 Binos ?

These should both be high quality, low light binoculars.
If you have some questions, they are available in several
different models, and the newer ones are better, and more
expensive.
I am thinking these are good for early and late viewing
for low light conditions, but too heavy for carry.

Yep, late evening/early morning low light is the intended use. They will be carried in the day pack until I plant my butt at a choosen glassing location. I have some 8x52 Minox HG's, purchased from Doug, they seem to be pretty darn good. But, I would/do think the Leica and Zeiss should yield a bit more along with the hefty price. I am thinking very hard on getting the Zeiss 8x56.
