Hi Guys:

A new twist to the old 700 parts on a 721.

I am obtaining an old semi inlet 721 stock with a lot of extra wood in the magazine/action area.

I would like to adapt a Williams or other after market bottom metal to the new 721 stock.............

I am up to speed on safety and mag box differences, just wondering what will need to be done to adapt 700 bottom metal.

Thanks.

Very little if your extra wood is in the right places...

Thanks Art.

This piece of wood is supposed to have come from Weatherby in the days when they made guns out of everything..........

It is not really a Weatherby style sock, more like a Stegall like cassic with mild monte carlo.

Have used my 721 since 1969 as is, and saw this other stock on Gunbroker. Thinking that your epoxy finish and a Williams release inside the bow bottom metal could be just fine.
