I just finished Mule Deer's latest book. It's a great read. It contains a wealth of information about most rifle calibers and topics. I'm very glad he reprinted his fine article of stock bedding that appeared several years ago in Rifle magazine. There are chapters on scopes and scope mounting, iron sights, synthetic stocks, buying used rifle, buying custom rifles, handloading accurate ammo, etc. I also enjoyed the heart felt chapters on the 257 Roberts and hunting in the badlands. This book is a nice reference volume for any rifleman 9 or riflewoman) to have his shelf.

I've been thinking about buying this book. Thanks for the review. I've long enjoyed reading JB's articles and intend to get a copy.
