I started gathering (different from collecting) knives about 15 years ago. I really like Marbles Knives as they have a great history and were made here in MI. But when it's time to go into the woods I take these two. One is a Western with some Elk Ivory inset into the handle. The other is a custom made by a friend of mine, the handles are Elephant Ivory with an elk carved in the handle. If you notice both knives and sheths are left handed.

Very unpretentious but have served for many moons. A Normark Hunter and a Puma General.

Depends on the gun I am using. Like to carry a knife made in the same time frame as the gun I am using. Most guns I hunt with are vintage. Kinda fond of a early 50's "Morseth" though. GW

I'm a pretty simple guy, so I carry a pretty simple knife - Buck Vanguard wood handle. It has served me well.
I used to carry an Edge Brand 6" stag-handled Bowie (I bought it while in college) until someone told me it was worth more than the rifle I was using.

GW STONE model D.Not fancy like his Diana, but hell for stout. Phenolic handle, fits my hand. Bought it 1978. He was really nice to a young dumbass, but I think also proud his knife would get an early start in a hunters' life. Bob

Like most everyone I have a couple, but my favorite is my Marble's Plainsman.

A trio of Ingram's. Unlike Pop's (ole_270), I'm not scared to get a little blood and fat on mine. Hopefully they'll get some elk blood on them next week. Bird and Trout, semi, and #1 droppoint, all with desert ironwood an d mosaics. My picture taking isn't as good as Gene's.

Bob Dozier's of various sizes and shapes for the job at hand or personal whim... fine knives.

Wow. I'm impressed. I would not have attempted that. I looked on ebay before your reply and saw a couple of these compasses, new in box. I may need one.
It's only a name. It could just as easily have been Nosler Partition.
