It is a bit fast for the 7-08, but Big Game works well. I use Big Game with a 120 Nosler BT.

I would recomend you work up to it from a few grains below, but my favorite load for my Remington 700 Mountain Rifle LSS is:

Remington case
Fed 210M primer
43.5 grains IMR 4064
Barnes 120 grain TSX
OAL 2.76"
velocity = 3005 fps
REPEATED 1/2 inch groups

RL15 seems to be the ticket with 120s in the 7-08. I settled on 43.5 grs in my model 7, but just about everything shoot good when seated at the first grease ring

I worked up some loads with TAC and the 120X and even tried some TTSX's, results were the same....not worth a damn.

Big Game showed much more promise. I'm trying '15 next time out to see how it does in comparison.

Mine dotes on 44.5 gr of RL-15 & either the 120 TSX or 120 NBT, seated .020" off the lands for the TSX & .030" off for the BT as determined by mag constraint.

For my wife's 7-08 she is using 48 grs. RL-17 with 120 T-TSX,RP Brass, Fed 210M, shoots 3/4 inch groups. Makes her happy.

Well, just to show why there Ford's and Chevy's, I am using TAC with the 120 gr. TTSX's in my 7mm-08. It shoots sub-MOA groups.

I use Big Game for the 140 gr. bullets. RL-15 was my "go to" powder and works great, but I get as good or better results with the Ramshot powders and they meter so much better.

Skeeter & shootem-This is the load my rifle likes:

120 gr. TTSX
TAC-41.9 grs.
Win. Brass
WLR Primer
2.740 COL

No, but it should be right at 2950 fps.(Sierra data-3000) with my barrel. I am anxious to get back out and check it.
