Interesting article in "Man at Arms" NRA gun collectors magazine this month which straightens out all the Sears-branded SxS shotguns over the years. MANY of them are Stevens or Savage/Stevens branded "Ranger" or "J.C. Higgins," in case you have a Ranger double and want to know where it goes in your Savage collection (or not).
I love these old shotguns that kept American farms secure for so many years and gave us so much fun and protein for so little money. America's chickenhouses needed security too!
