I opend the deck door this morning to find this guy in my back yard.

[Linked Image]

It's a tall 6. the Flash did something goofy on his eyes but it's nice buck. I'm thinking he had a little rut in him, because he sure didn't care what I was doing.

Starting to get the juices flowing.

Just not moving eh? Maybe there isn't many up there this year with all the shooting the DNR has been having the hunters do the last few years.

taking one with a bow wouldn't spook them away wink

I would probably take one, but I need meat in the worst way I'm almost out of venison from last year

T that was about the size of the buck I had come through when I was bowhunting on Saturday night. Rack looks similar. I couldn't see the head gear on the second one very good because he stayed in some thick stuff in the river bottom.

If I was bowhunting, I'd a shot at him. I've never shot a buck with my bow.

I have to say, the route he took out of the yard....He wouldn't have died in anyone's yard. just sayin'.

Actually, I followed the way he went a bit ago. No way I'm shooting one. It's way, way more open now and who knows where they would go. It's just not my deal.

Dave,I have seen those little metal men before. You stick a weiner on the uh uh protruding part and set him on the grill the heat cooks the weiner inside and outside.Looks kinda funny when they are "loaded".Strickly a guy thing.
I also shoot a .308.Mine is a Remington Model 7 which I have had since 1992.Have you ever tried the Hornady "Light Magnum" loads?165 grain.I like them.

heck yeah those cabinets look awesome!
how is the sand point coming? were you ever able to blow it out?
it rained to beat the band down here all night, I suppose it could be the big soak we usually get before things freeze.

Big snow coming the way it sounds.

I fly out for Indianapolis tomorrow morning too. Last minute trip, not super excited about it. Work stuff.
