Will QL be able to model the new "extended" burn curve powders like RL17, Hodgdon Superperformance and Leverevolution and the Alliant Power Pro lines. They offer increased velocity via greater area under the powder burn curve without increased peak pressure. Is QL modeling able to handle this?
Second question ... when will these powders be added to the QL list.

my QL (version 3.5) has RL 17.
i think you can get two updates from neconos, so you might try going to their web site and getting an update.

I have simulated "Superformance" propellant and found nothing special to handle this propellant. It will be added as soon I have reliable data. RL17 is since 2 years with QL.

h_broemel,
How come the full version of 3.6 does not come with TrailBoss but the upgrade version of 3.6 does? I was disappointed when those with the 3.6 version told me it had it, but when I purchased the full version it didn't...

Sorry for you inconvenience, but propellant data is not dependent on version number. A propellant is added when it's data is available to me. Trailboss has been added at 22-Aug-2010 and QL V3.6 is existing since ShotShow 2010. For those familiar with Notepad editor, here is the data set to be added to qloadfw.pro:
"TrailBoss","3090","1.2310","1.490","3.4631","2.8340","0.405","1.8999","0.310","","","","","","","","","","","","22AUG10"

Gotta love good ol' Hartmut!
He keeps making QuickLOAD better and better. (He could stop at any time and rest content with his accomplishment, and QuickLOAD would still be head and shoulders taller than any other ballistics software.)
He faithfully answers all kinds of questions here.
Thanks, ol' friend!

Thanks Hartmut for the TrailBoss data. That powder has become a favorite of mine (and my wrists ). I haven't upgraded from 3.2 to 3.6 yet. Can you detail the updates?

is quickload mac compatable?
1. I now see the wisdom and merits of much older generations. 2. Technology makes things cheaper, easier, and less labor intensive, but not necessarily better.

Thank you Hartmut! I just got 3.6, and the lack of a powder profile for TrailBoss was the ONLY thing that I had any complaint with. I should have known that you already had the answer.

No, QL is not written for the Mac. However, it runs quite well using Crossover Office (from Codeweavers) on both he Mac and linux, on my machinery.

Hartmut, have you considered writing a QickLoad app for tablets or phones?
