Has anyone had a chance to try the Berger Hybrids bullets on game?
I realize that Berger does not recommend these bullets for use on game as of yet due to not testing the bullets in game, but I didnt know if anyone has "field tested" these bullets on game. I have the Hunting VLDs loaded up for hunting, but would like to only have to load one bullet due to using the Hybrids for Fclass.
Thanks for any experience you may have.
My specific question is for the 180g Hybrids in 7mm.

I have shot an antelope with the 338 Hybrid at a range further than you want to hear and it worked great. Let my buddies girlfriend use my Edge to shoot her bull elk. Quartering away hit last rib going in and penetrated and busted far shoulder. Bull took two steps and turned broadside and she put another behind the shoulders and dropped it. No worries here using the 338 hybrid. Just received my 7mm hybrids but I'm waiting for the rifle to finish getting built.

Thanks, jumpalot.
I have read some reports on the 338 Hybrid that mirror your experiences. I think it would be hard to have a bad bullet in 338 realistically. Let me know if/when you try out the 7mm bullets.
Any other anecdotal evidence with the 7mm?

Nothing like resurrecting an old thread. Now that these have been out for a while does any body have some on game performance with the berger hybrids?

can only say REGULAR TARGET bergers that they don't suggest, have never failed me. Sometimes too big of an exit wound (for my taste IE larger than a quarter) but other than that have killed everything pointed at and at distances out past 500 yards in a 308 running 185s....
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....
