GT 1911 Kimber 10mm by Tom Gresham #4568259 11/05/10

OP gregory Campfire Member Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 405	Tom Gresham designed a 1911 in 10mm and contracted with Kimber to build the pistol. It is a full size, 5" steel gun. The model name is GT 10mm 1911, I think. These were special order guns with serial numbers that correspond to order placement time. The cut off date for ordering was Oct.31 2010. The GT stands for Gun Talk, Tom's Sunday radio program. Did anyone order one of these special build 1911s? I have no experience with 10mm and would be interested in any thoughts or opinions. Thanks

I've just seen photos and read that specs. I think 'designed and contracted' by Tom Gresham is a little extreme - the pistol is pretty much a regular Kimber 10mm with a bobtail.
