I'm looking for a flo. orange day pack. I don't want anything too big. What I carry could fit into a large fanny pack but I think a backpack is easier on the bones during an all day hunt. The ones I have found in a size I like are all made of less than quiet material. So if anybody has an idea, I forever thank you!

Check out Cabela's Deluxe Whitetail Day Pack. I've used one(in blaze orange)for 4yrs. Nice pack,if it's not too big for your needs.

I have a Kelty that I got from Sportsmans Warehouse. I don't see it on Kelty's website, though. It's camo, but it comes with an attached flo orange rainfly that's stored in a pouch on the bottom. It's similar to Kelty's Tongass 1100 but it has internal stays and a few more pockets.

My buddy and I sewed up our own pack covers (flags really) from lightweight dayglo orange nylon ripstop fabric he picked up on sale. It's very light and because it's uncoated fabric, it's pretty quiet although it will snag in the plum thickets. It weighs almost nothing. Best of all you can rig it around a load of meat coming out or put it away as needed.

I would choose a backpack I liked and then either sew a cover as oklahunter suggested, or just sew orange directly onto the pack. Picking a pack by color alone is a recipe for misery.

Depending on size

2000ci Sweet Pea from MR

2300 Snapdragon from MR

These are the slightly tuned down of the very popular 3 day assault and dragon slayer.

My 2 cents as an owner of the sweat pea in orange.
