Received the letter yesterday from Mr. Callahan on my 1899 Savage. The letter comfirms that the rifle was made in 1903 in 38/55 caliber with half octagon 26" barrel, model "C", pistol grip stock and checkered stock and forend. The best part is the price at $21.50. It is worth a little more than that today, as it is in pristine condition.

Bring it to my house...kill a buck with it. Then it'll have some history.

I'm pretty sure I have funded a heck of a lot nicer diner than McDonalds for JC!! Not complaining- happy to get them, but I've ordered a few over the last couple of years.

Charlie,
You ever get your Model 1903 lettered?
