Do all "blued" Ruger BlackHawks have aluminum grip frames?

Yes, as long as you mean specifically the standard "Blackhawk". The Super Blackhawks in .44 Magnum and BlackHawk Flattops, both standard and Bisley, in .44 Special have steel grip frames. I don't know about the 7 1/2" Bisley models in .44 and .45 Colt.

All Bisleys are steel. Yes I mean stainless also. :-)

Thanks, I figured they were. Have owned two of the stainless Bisleys but never a blued one* so couldn't say first hand. *Except now I have a blued Flattop Bisley. This is gettin' complicated...

It's a shame.
I just traded for my first "blue" Blackhawk. It's been disappointing me ever since. I think I'll stick to the stainless ones in the future.
That cheesy black spray paint finish really doesn't compare with blued steel. I'm thinking of removing the painted armory finish and either polishing the aluminum or trying some of that "alumiblack" on there. I think it is more akin to a bluing type finish, but for aluminum.
They feel so much more balanced with the steel grip frame.
I wonder if one could trade a Vaqero frame with a Black Hawk frame?
