A friend did me the terrible disservice of lending me his Leica 1500 Rangemaster for an elk hunt......and it was so good that I now have to have one smile

Can someone tell me what other rangefinders are equivalent?...

I must say....the Leica is a great tool! Apparently the 1500 is no longer made as I didn't find one where I looked....

just purchased a ziess victory 1300, compaired swaro & the victory, was able to range longer distance with the ziess and its $200 less very happy. ranged 1275 yds on nonreflective target very fast and easy to use.

Actually, all I want is a real 600 yard rangefinder.....So far the only one I've found to do that is a Leica 1500....

I've tried Bushnell and Nikon with poor results.

Lots of them will do so on rocks and hard faced objects.....but that's not life while elk hunting.....It takes some power to get a signal from a soft surface.....I just don't want to shell out Obama sized budgets to get one...
