Hey Guys,
Anyone have a link to a company selling 250/3000 with 87 gr. I lost my source and am having a hard time finding these cartridges. I shoot a 1918 Savage 99 T/D in the .250 cal and it won't shoot anything well except the 87 grain. Any help would be appreciated.

PS I don't shoot enough to justify reloading my own

Brian, Welcome to the forum. I don't know for sure of anyone selling it, none of the big ammo makers are making anything other an 100 gr... might try "Wisconsin ammo" or something like that... ammo is also occasionally available on GB and one of your regulars sells his reloads on there. Also, if you are willing to buy a few boxes, there are several company that will load up custom ammo and last time I looked, the price was not much, if any, worse than the $35ish dollars a box that 100 gr core-lokts were at Cabelas + a nearly 10% tax at ours...

I try to keep an eye out for the Winchester lubaloys b/c I just like that ammo for no real "practical" reason other than its has shot well for me and the lubaloy copper plated shotgun ammo was about the best ever made if you ask the old sohtgun shooters.

Ammo direct .com used to have it. I bought several boxes from them.

Reeds Ammo will sell 87gr loads. For $22 a box, it's a lot cheaper than the commercial stuff.
