Just a quick note to anyone that happens to pass through central Missouri, my family and I stopped by Sierra in Sedalia and was given a great tour of their plant. They took lots of time, answered all my questions and were very, very kind. It was really worth the stop. Go by and visit!

I've done the Sierra tour too, and it is great!

I have been to the Sierrs plant several times. I used to live in the area and my good friends still live a couple miles from the plant. I always stop and get stocked up on bullets. Cool place

Any hints of them coming out with new bullet designs?

They have a "seconds" store on site, and sell blemished bullets by the pound. I've taken the tour, and bought up some seconds before. Oddly enough, the "seconds" in .30, flatbased 150s, shot better than the boxed bullets I bought later. I didn't have quite as much good luck with the .224" bullets, but it was a matter of degree, not horribly bad, just not quite as good. Mostly, the "seconds" come from tooling setups, when switching from one bullet to another, getting the extrusions on the noses set up, or minor cosmetic stuff, oil stains or whathaveyou. The 135gr. 10mms were screamers out of my Colt Delta.......

The tours are given by the fellows that answer questions when you call the 800 number. I bought two pounds of 168 gr. Matchkings to try. (seconds) I visited with one of the ladies that does the final inspection and they kick out bullets with even the slightest visible flaw, I bet the seconds will shoot fine, better that I can hold.
