I have recently learned that Northfork Bullets is literally a 45 minute drive from my house! I have heard great things about them over the years. Evidently during my time off from the African forums for a few years, they moved virtually into my "back yard!" I feel a field trip coming!

Great bullets! but oh my the prices!

jorgeI, Come on now, you know what we say about people whining about using a premium bullet when they're gonna spend $18,000 on a safari!
Then I looked at the prices!!! Holy Molly!

I got my last box for $10 but it's just a box of 50 bullets.

For a bolt rifle developing 2400fps or more, to be used on most any big game specie I would agree...simply the best in my experience. BUT, for a double rifle or any other big bore operating at 2100fps or less, no. The NF opens easier on game, expands more and will offer a better result when a "soft" type of performance is called for. At least in my experience.

Agree 100% with that. Doubles are a whole breed apart and although folks use them in doubles, personally I would use Woodleighs or of course North Forks. jorge

The only North Forks I've used have been .458 flat point solids and they work great. Straight penetration for a long way. The only one I recovered could be loaded and fired again.
Don't blame me. I voted for Trump.

Agreed, their FPS and CPS solids are some of the best on the market, if not the best. They shoot fantastic out of my rifles and some day I hope to try them out on suitable game like elephant or hippo on dry land.

Philomath, Oregon, just west of Corvalis.

No, solids are NOT meant to expand.

Oops! Didn't pick up on the "solids" before I posted. My bad! Thanks for the correction.
