DJTex;
That sir was just a wonderful story and some of the better trophy quality photos I've seen in awhile.

I really liked the photo of your father and the two boys DJ, talk about cool. cool

Naturally I'd like you to pass along congratulations to your son for shooting that tasty looking doe who will supply so many great meals for your family.

Of course you sir are going to get another tip of the hat for making the preparations and taking the time to ensure this fine event took place. Very well done sir.

PS, please don't apologize for making a good story long. I'd read posts like yours any time DJ.

Thanks for sharing this with us all here, all the best to you and yours and good luck on all of your upcoming hunts.

Regards,
Dwayne

That is a wonderful story. I was glued and couldn't wait for the outcome. My son is one week and one day old today. Hopefully in about five years....

Congratulations to the newest hunter in your bunch. Great story and pic's. I'll bet Paw Paw was beside himself. I especially like the pic of big brother giving a congratulatory hand to little brother. I'll look forward to #3 brother's story.
Keep up the good work.

Many thanks.

With all the great posts and photos on the 'Fire, it's plenty humbling and gratifying to know that some of y'all are enjoying this one as much as any.

Will try to respond more individually when I get a little more time.

Good hunting, guys.

DJ, thanks for that wonderful story and pictures you will treasure forever. I miss those days with my kids when they were little.

My oldest is fixin to be 21, and finally getting back into hunting after a detour for girls and other stuff. My youngest is 16 and spun out on his first girl a year ago and has only been out a couple times this fall.

The idea of someday being a grandpa is starting to have a little more appeal... grin

Need to find me one of them lil' ol' M7 Youths in .223 for those who are yet to arrive.

Very cool DJ....High-five to the youngster.
And it's great that you get to make it a family affair.

Had to come back and look at that pic. Scott is correct. That is one of my all time favorites as well. My wife saw it now she's all "shook up". Fabulous.

Great story Great hunt kinda tugs at the heart a little bit. Having gramps there was the kicker.
