Will be my newest addition to the "toy stable"...I'm buyin'one in the morn'...or afternoon... My Suzuki is going to retire out at my Cabin... It's the least I could do for her. There, she will be able to drip oil in peace...With some occasional trips down to the river.

I just got back from picking up a brand new '04 Honda Rubicon GPScape. It sure is one fine ride! I know you'll love the '05...

The new body style does look sharp but I couldn't resist the rock bottom pricing of the '04 Rubicon. Congrats...

Yeah, I like the looks of the 04's too. I have 4 buddies with 03-04 Rubicons and they love 'em.. I got a good deal on the '05. For an extra $600, the choice between the two was pretty easy. Congrats on your new toy as well. I'll be getting a Warn winch and a set of 26" Mud-Lites on Aluminum wheels to complete the package... Come-on Spring!!!

Rubicon is a great choice. Mine is a 2001. Only changes I made were the wheels/tires and changed the winch for 3k Warn last year. Added a Sumit Pack-mule trailer last year for utility work, well designed and excellent build.
Have fun

I've been playing and doing a little work around the Pondarosa with mine since Saturday and I'm really loving it! Only thing I've added so far is a large drop rack (Moose) on the back and a double gun rack on the front. It pulls a trailer full of rocks with no sweat...

My 2002 rubicon has been worked hard dragging moose and elk and has hauled loads well over the rack limits and it has been totally reliable. My only mods have been 26" gators(on the stock rims),a warn winch, armaguarded the racks to keep loads from sliding, and heated grips for cold weather hunting. The hydrostatic transmission offers the smoothest operation and the best engine braking that I have ever witnessed on an atv.

I've got an 02 and a 96 400 Foreman. That Rubicon is so cold blooded it's unbelievable. It takes twice as long to warm up as the 400. The choke control does'nt want to stay up and it's a PIA. Are they all like this? I like it otherwise.

Sakoluver, you probably already know, but your Rubicon is equipped with an electric heat element on the carb. I found it greatly helps in cold weather starts if you turn the key to the on position for a minute or two before starting.
I sold my '02 Rubicon and replaced it with an '03 Rincon. I love the ride of the Rincon (IRS), but often wish I had the Rubicon back. The transmission is far better than that of the Rincon.

Skip the mudlites and get either the ITP 589s or the outlaw tires. Awesome tires. I'm currently running 28" Outlaw's on my '04 650 LE. No lift required.

I agree about the 589's. I'm on my second set (two different machines) and I'd never buy anything else! They're fantastic in the mud and snow, yet they don't beat you to death on hard-pack. I run 26" ITP's.

ITP 589s are the way to go, in any size. I went with the 26" on my rubicon. Excellent in the mud and snow.
