About a year ago, there was an article on Trail Boss powder. I think it was in Handloader, maybe Rifle. It explained how to use Trail Boss in any cartridge.

Does anyone remember which issue that was?

Thanks

I don't have the issue but remember it and have played with trailboss some. Bottom line is it shouldnt be compressed. Fill a case up to the bottom of where you seat a bullet. That's your max load. Back off 75% and work back towards max for accuracy. From my experience it shoots best with bullets that have the least bore friction. So I would recomend shooting light for caliber bullets. I didn't have much luck with accuracy in a couple of 30 cal rifles till I went to 125's and the hornady 110 v max. Then I was able to get some 1"/100 yd groups.
It is really fun shooting this stuff. It turns a 300 win mag into a 22 mag!! Great for plinking, teaching youngsters how to shoot, and close up varmit control. Good luck

Thanks for the link.

That's the way I remmbered it, but I wanted to make sure before I started loading.

It makes all the big cartridges fun to shoot. You could make that .375 into a .38-55 :- )
