Either one is a good choice, I like the ABolt ti in 325 myself, never been a winchester fan could never get them to shoot handloads very well... but I do know that the 325 with 200 accubonds shoots like a dream. That is in the Savage American classic but a few others have the TI's and they shoot great out past 300 yards. Its all personal preference and myself I like to be different... Hence the reason I am building a 375 HH right now. but they both will slaughter anything in NA
take a kid hunting there will be no greater feeling than to watch them succeed.

A .325 WSM won't do much that an '06 won't do, I don't care at all for the A Bolt styling, and a Win M70 '06 is just PERFECTION to me.
I have one of each and honestly, if I didn't like the rifle that the .325 WSM is in I'd sell it in a heartbeat, especially since I have a 338-06 which does everything that the .325 does but better.

*By the way I'm leaning towards the Winnie since the 300wsm I have is more than enough for elk and I'm just not sure how much I'd really use a .325 wsm after this falls hunt. Also I want a durable all weather gun and in my mind that leans more towards the winnie since I can easily field clean the bolt and there is no magazine to lose.
Sounds like you answered your own question.....
The 280 Remington is overbore.
The 7 Rem Mag is over bore.

More rounds, proven platform and significantly more choices in projectiles. And it is not a WSM

Sooooo....what can the 338-06 do better than the 325 wsm? Shoot a 250+ gr bullet, fit in a standard 30/06-type action, and have magazine capacity for 4 down and one "hot".

I would buy the 70, 'cause I don't like the way A-Bolts handle and shoot. I don't like A-Borts as much as any, but shoot, they do shoot! Paul I stand corrected. I don't like the way they handle and FEEL when they shoot. Not a .325WSM. That alone removes it, prior to getting to the Abort part. I too would go for the Winchester M-70 in a heart beat.. Sorry BobinNH, but the M-70 30-06 (at least mine anyway) holds 5 down.
I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first

Okay now I'm thinking to much. The shop I went to today only had a .338 win and no 06. Another shop I went to had a 300wsm. So I'm beginning to wonder if this isn't a sign that my stainless gun should be a little larger than a 3006. Dose anyone have the 338 in the win extreme weather? How about the 300wwm? Any feeding issues? I'm trying not to over think this purchase but it will probably be the only gun I buy this year so I want to feel like making the right decision
