CONGRATS!!!!! Love to hear the story as well as the tale of the tape

When Ronald Reagan was president, we had Bob Hope and Johnny Cash.
Now that Barack Obama is president, we have NO hope and NO cash.

Sorry for the delay guys but you know what it like when you get back to work and have to fix the screw ups. I'll say thank you again for all the salutations. I'd like to say that this was one of the best years I have seen in Northern Sask. The weather was cold -5 to +5 and no wind, thank you very much. Lil bit of snow on the ground but not a bunch. JMO but I believe the late moon in Novenber helped push the rut into December this year because I watched bucks fighting every day on stand and I me fighting not just pushin each other around. The bucks were still chasing and grunting just as if it was peak . Doubt it was though, no does were standing but 2 of them must have had some funk because they were getting quite a bit of attention. Killed this guy on day 4 of the hunt at 2 pm . He came in chasing one of the stinky women folk passing through a lane I had 3 times, with no shot oportunity. Then he disipeared for about a half an hour. He must have chased her in a big loop because when he re appeared he came in at a different angle ( quarter to) with his nose to the ground . I hit the rattle bag just a bit before he hit my shooting lane and it stopped him with a branch just not in the right spot. He's looking I'm looking screw it hold a lil hight and squeeze , dumps him in his tracks after taking out the bottom of the spine . Ranged the shot at 135 yards after he was down. I called for the paddy wagon and told the boys that I didn't think they were gonna be happy with me . I told them that I had more ground shrinkage than a man should have . They rolled up and I kinda caught them at the pass. I had to leave my face mask on to keep from laughing and giving myself up. Told em that I reaaly messed up and killed on that I didn't think was gonna be 130" , man you should have seen his eyes roll.I got him good.
Back at the barn they taped him at 198 and 7/8 gross but I think thats a little high , he looks a good 193 or 4 to me . Took him with the same rifle I take on every hunt accept for moose and that is a Bansner Ultimate One based off a rem ti action in 7-08 shooting 140 TSX's toped with a 3x9x36 Swaro a-line. I only managed to get 2 pics of him with my camera died due to a frozen battery. I'm waiting for a pile from my outfitter when he go's to where he has Hi speed access , the farm is still on dial up. He's got 16 scorable points 2 more that were busted clean off while fighting that would have measured real good judging by there width . Both brows are split and the left brow has a small unscorable 3rd .With the guts knocked out he weighed 331 lbs. Wish you guys could have been there.
