Bob,
Shoot it, you will find being "left handed" and lever rifles go well together.

I shoot mine. As long as you keep it in good condition, I don't imagine it will much if any collector value.

I have a few lever actions rifles in Marlin, Savage and Winchester and they are Left Hand Friendly. I may just load some up and use this rifle for deer hunting in the Timber and Pine thickets. What do you like best in your 94's , cast or jacketed bullets?

I just ordered 200 .379" 245 grain lead for my LEgendary Frontiersman, can't wait to get em and try em out.

I have one box of Win Factory but will order 100 pieces of Starline brass and a set of dies. If i decide to load the cast i will order the Cowboy Dies from RCBS because they are set up for cast where the standard dies work better with jacketed bullets. I may use Rel 7 to start with.

Shoot it, it has little collector value. I did buy one new when they first came out, kept it unfired for 20+ years and sold it for just what I paid for it. Figuring inflation over 20 years, I lost money on it. Shoot it and enjoy it.

I ordered RCBS dies and 100 pieces of Win Brass, and 100 Hornady 220 gr FN Bullets from Midway and now I'm ready to go . The receiver sight will be next. I can't decide on where to start with 4198 or Rel 7. 4198 has been good to me in the 45-70 so may use it.

Re-7 is what I use in my 375 Win. Very Consistent and accurate.

Or you can leave it lay around for 30 years like I did, not look at it enough to catch the pewter getting bubbles and then find out the value has gone south anyway. Should have been shooting it for thirty years instead.

Very nice. A shame to shoot it, since it's unfired. They do seem to show up quite often though. Good caliber as well. Congrats.

Well, they made over 20,000 of those LF models so it's not like they were rare. If I find another one I would remove some of the shine crap and shoot and hunt with it.

Im on my second LF 38-55 both are accurate lever guns. I use a healthy dose of rl-7 and a 265 gn. hard cast flat nose sized to .380, Have yet to recover a slug.

On a 255 grain slug, I like IMR3031, but I may be behind the times! Fanatstic calibre, and accurate. I run a tang peep and globe front on mine, and it shrunk groups quite a bit. It's easier to adjust for distance as well. Nice rifle, load 'er up, and git er done!
