The guys on this forum bought a couple of rifles for kids this past year-one was for Winny 1200 or something like that, the other was for a boy Lou 270 knew. Just wondering if there were any updates on how they did hunting this year. Would hate for them to just fade away after all you guys did to get them set up.

Winnie 1300 has continued to post here and has become a regular member of the Campfire throwing jabs and displaying a quick wit.

Seems he came up empty hunting this year, but that's how it goes sometimes.

And like nsagam, I don't recall ever hearing about the other guy.

I contributed some cash for Winnie & glad to see he stuck around the 'fire. Hope he pops one next year.

I hadn't seen any of his posts lately and just wondered if he got any hunting in. Sounds like his season went like mine. Still, it is great to get out.

Winnie1300 is around as said above. Don't recall the other kids name but several members threw down and helped a kid buy a deer gun. Kid paid half IIRC and a member here sold him a blue/wood ruger 06 (again IIRC) for a smoking deal.
