Does anyone know of a good outfitter in the Absaroka-Beartooth area of south central Montana for a gun elk/muley hunt for next year? Thanks.

Yeah, I went on there trying to find the fellow I used in the Pray area several years ago, but he seems to have gotten out of the biz. I was hoping for some testimonials on specific outfitters that people have used, and with whom they have had good experiences.

Met Warren a couple times now, from what I can tell I'd sure spend time with him. Not sure what their elk population is like anymore though. That part of our world has been hit the hardest, those there's still good bulls to be found.

257wbylover-you mean Warrens booked for 2 years in advance and or that you're booked with him 4 two years?

You saying 257wbylover that you're booked to go with them for the next two years and or that they're booked for the next two years? The first one I could buy into, the second I'd not believe.

But, I've been wrong b4 and could well be this time.

Side note, from what I can tell Ronnies one of the good guys.

Gotta agree with Dober on this one.

Pretty tough to know you're booked two years out (at least with knowledge of having a tag) with the new non-resident rules regarding outfitters and tags........
