Wonderful, people will die on this one!! Why did not they pole active military? God help us!!

They did but there was little to no command emphasis on making sure it was filled out. That and as far as I know it was only sent to the AKO address, which can be kind of hard to access in some locations.

I have a son that is in Afganistan, on his 5th deployment. First 3 as a Ranger, last 2 as a Blackhawk pilot. TOO the one, none of his fellows suport gays in military. He's on his 12th year. Would you??

18 years and counting the days down. And NO! In fact considering the lack of emphasis placed on the poll especially when compared to something like command climate or all the other mandatory BS we are forced to do I have a strong suspicion that higher ups didn't want very many people to fill it out.

Before any administration pushes a new policy, they "warm up" the public with a media blitz with phony statistics and studies to support their position. After running it up the flagpole, they gauge whether they have a chance of getting it passed. Then they get the SecDef and JCS Chairman to back the administration (they don't want to lose their jobs). All bogus.

They start by calling it an alternative lifestyle, and then a sexual orientation and preference, and then it is "normal" and you have "gay" (God help us) marriages. They call us "straights" but the opposite of straight is not "gay" -- it is crooked!

Yes.. Where is this country going ??? In my day we policed the barracks ourselves (early/mid 70's) Stinky people took showers, lazy people learned to do their job, Gays did not play grab ass. The penalty for not followed decentcommunity behavior was a good beating. Now decent people get in trouble for showing them the error of their ways and the deviants run amuck.

Lots of straights will be getting the boot. You can't instill that much dislike for [bleep] and expect the boys to accept it overnight.

Folks don't seem to understand that discrimination and dislike is a good thing in the military. I'm thinking if every military guy that used the word JAP in WWII was disciplined we'd all be eating rice right now.

If half of the folks in the military would just not re enlist they would have to rethink this.

Evidentally, General James Amos, CMC, is the only one with enough balls to stand against this PATHETIC repeal of DA/DT.

I'm thinking they would LOVE that. Besides, if it started getting crazy with folks bailing they would just stop it. It's not up to you if you get out, it's up to them.

Spreading a message of hope and happiness. Prancing and parading in digital rainbow fatigues in Iraq and Afghanistan with pink pom-poms instead of service weapons. Immediate enemy surrender is sure to follow.

Are they now going to have separate living quarters (i.e. showers, latrines, bunks etc.) for the queers as they do for females in the military?

If they feel cohabitation of males and females must be prohibited in the military, then why shouldn't this policy apply to homos and straight people also?

Exactly what I've been saying. They damn well better.

The more real men that bailed, the more room for the gear boxes to fill the vacant positions.

At least it won't change anything in the Navy........
