Well yesterday I went and brought home another Savage rifle in the model 12 Savage, caliber being the .223. Brass easy to obtain and this one matches the model 12 that was purchased earliar in 22-250.
These are great rifles for the money and very accurate right out of the box. I do need to mount a couple of those outstanding Bushnell 3200 series Tactical scopes on them and I'll be range ready and give a range report on both those rifles.

Take a look at the Mannlicher-Schonauer replacement spoon bolt handle for that Savage available at Sharp Shooter Supply...I don't own a Savage but always thought the spoon bolt would improve the Savage aesthetically; it may/may not be your thing, but something different.

I been thinking about doing the same thing down the line with this model 12 in .223 cal. I been reading up on that Ackely caliber, it seems very sound.
