Just turn the rifle upside down and to the right.

Just turn the rifle upside down and to the right. you are way off if you turn the rifle upside down the bullets rise instead of drop so you have to reverse the way you dial your scope to compensate. It helps to install the 20 moa bases backwards if you are going to use the rifle this way so you wont run out of adjustment.

As you are aiming up hil or down hill will give you either the cosine of the angle or the angle in degress, depending on which model that you chose. This info can be entered into a hand held computor ballistics targeting soft ware for real time info or a ballistics date chart can be derived from a desk top PC with said program
With the ACI (angle cosine indicator) one can multiply the turret come-ups by the cosine and use the answer for your come-ups

I'll put the angle and cos. here for ya. (5deg,cos .996)(10deg,cos.985)(15deg,cos.965)(20deg,cos.940)(25deg,cos.906)(30deg,cos.866)(35deg,cos.819)(40deg,cos.766)(45deg,cos.707)(50deg,cos.643)(55deg,cos.574)(60deg,cos.500)(65deg,cos.423)(70deg,cos.342)(75deg,cos.259)(80deg,cos.174)(85deg,cos.087)(90deg,cos.0) If you range a target at 500 yards and have and angle of 45deg. multiply 500x.707=353.5yards. Set your turrets to shoot as though it were a 350 yard shot. You'll be pretty close!

At 45 degrees you can use co-sine or sine since the value is the same. Don

For most of us guys slope will be a non-issue since the farther the shot from the same elevation difference, the shallower the angle. Thus the smaller the flat line distance from the straight line difference. Now sheep or mountain goat hunters, I could definitely see an angle cosine indicator coming in quite handy.

Man you flat landers have it easy!Gota have a cosine indicator here for long range , our deer elk , and bears, as well as sheep and goats live in places like this:

I hunt Colorado and Utah but I just don't hunt the areas that would require me to adjust for that extreme of an angle. Maybe a few back surgeries ago but not any more. I'm not that mad at the elk.
