This is a photo of one of my rifles I have built. Everything you see I made. Action is similar to a Farrow but it is my design. The cal. is 40/60 Maynard. It is a takedown. I used it for shooting black powder matches out to 600 yards.

Interesting design. You want to give more detail on it, or just let it sit out there and continue to make us think? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Ha Ha I suppose I could do that but if you have question I certainly would rather answer them.
I have built a number of single shoots. Everyone different and of my design. Most of them were large caliber black powder cartridge rifles. I use to do a fair amount of long range shooting. The last rifle I built from scratch was a 405 win on a action similar to the Fraser gun. I displayed a picture of it over in the Savage collectors forum. I'm just finishing the rebuild of a Savage 99 and if I get a chance to blue the barrel this week I'll be posting that when I'm done.
My passion has lately been designing and building tall case clocks for my Grandkids. There rather neat also.

The Farrow rifle as I call it uses a takedown lock just like Savage used on their 99's. The barrel for the one in the picture is 30" long and supports a spirit level windage sight on the front. (I did buy that. So I guess I didn't make everything, sorry) The tang sight is mine. The stock is a very fancy piece of American Walnut. I shot paper patch bullets. The reason I chambered for 40/60 Maynard was because I have a passion for the 40's and the Maynard case is made from 30/40 Krag brass. Very easy to get. I wiped the bore between shoots.
Well if you have a question please ask.
Thanks
