I looked at several 99`s today at a gun show. A takedown carbine 303 sav with refinished wood ,good bore priced at 395.A new or MIB 375 priced at 1300 and a mint model f in 308 with scope at 465. Is this a good price for the F ? Thanks

When it comes to choosing friends....I'm at an age where I'd rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.

I agree...
Go with the pre-mil Model F in .308 caliber. The $465 price is decent & it will make a fine hunting rifle for you. The swivels aren't "factory", but if it's a hunter and the swivels were done well, that's a "plus" for you.
