There are no words to describe the pain of your loss. It happened to us just two years ago, so I understand. Our daughter was able to cope by creating a slide show and memory book where she was able to express her love and grief. All we could do was help her understand that it was not her fault. The feeling that you could have done something is a tough one to get past. My heart goes out to you and yours.

I am so sorry for your loss and that of your daughter and her husband. We don't always understand how the almighty works but everything is in his control.
We are told we are not given any challenge we can't get through but some seem very hard to us.
I lost one of my kids three years ago this year and I am still at times dealing with the loss.
My prayers and hope go out to you and yours

bcolorado, I know how you feel, 29 years ago next month I buried my 4 month old son. He died in my arms. It is hard to understand why, but God has a plan for all of us. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

As a first time grandpa of a 4month old boy I was afraid to open this thread.

Thank you everyone.
We are still waiting on the coroner so we can proceed with a funeral.
