This week, I bought a sporterized P 14. Cheap. It's fully sporterized, got a Fajen stock and has had the ears milled off and tapped. The original barrel is in great shape.

I'm looking for some good loads for 150 gr. bullets, which is all I have. Got lots of powder varients, I'm now using 4064 at 42 grains, which seems to be OK. The barrel looks like it has a very fast twist, haven't checked it yet, but it looks to be a ten.

Preliminary shooting is somewhat encouraging, but it's no target rifle. It also shoots 150 gr. bullets better than 170, at least in my first testing.

Got any load data or experience with the gun or the round, I'd appreciate it.

FWIW, try 3031 or RL-15.

In a P14, you can load a 303 just like a 308, if you wish. Case capacity is the same and the action is strong and rigid. With a 24 inch barrel, 2800+ with 150's is no problem. GD

P-14 Use ONLY.I'm shooting 44.7gr of IMR-4064 with both Speer 150s and 180s in my P-14.It's all I can get in the Winchester cases. Those 313 barrels kinda limit your velocity(and pressure).I'm over 100f/s low with the 180,using 308 data.And I have 26" barrel. Case life is around twenty. Mine still has the ears,but I have Parker-Hale rear sight.
