I've just bought a Butler Creek 17HMR syn. stock and heavy barrel kit, to convert my Ruger 10/22 22mag. to 17HMR. I've also added a BSA Sweet 17 scope and got rid of the factory trigger assy. and replaced it with a Volquartsen assy.

I've always had trouble with that factory 22mag. trigger assy. I have a 22lr 10/22 and the trigger hadn't been an issue.

After getting into this i see that a person can sink a small fortune into bells & whistles. Some of the after market stocks and barrels are individually worth more then the entire gun is. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Upon putting all of this together, what i immediately noticed was that the weapon was very much barrel heavy. Has anyone done any stock weight installation to bring these little guns back into CG ? Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.
