This dude was coming at the boat about 30 feet away and near the surface. When he got to 25 feet he could see me and the boat and started to go down. I lead the approach and help low for the extreme depth. At the shot he came to the surface dead as a rock!

At first I thought I missed as the line was not ripping from the spool. Then I realized it was dead center through the brain right between the eyes!

Heck of a shot JJ and not easy to do!! I usta catch a lot of carp when I was a kid and we'd either throw em back or bury them in the garden. Never could get an adult to let me grill one! What do you guys do with em? Their becoming a fly fishing cult fishery to those in the know. BT53

Good thing you weren't shooting a crossbow because even if you would have managed to hit the fish, it probably would have just bounced off.

Nice shooting

What are you doing with all those Carp ? You need to go to the nearest project and sell them.

As you probably know by now, that is not an easy place to hit a carp for retrieving your arrow. I carry a small hatchet, in case that happens. Just lay the skull open, making it easier to get the arrow out.
