I picked up a Howa 1500 that appears to have a fiberglass stock. It has no identification on it other than it does have "1500 L" stamped on the inside. Can anyone tell me if this is an original stock and IF it is fiberglass?

I would say that its a Long action stock - and probably a composite stock at that (without a pic its hard to say)

But their composite stocks are very rigid and virtually indestructible.

Does it have a BIG recoil pad and muddy checkering under texture paint?? If so its a Butler Creek that was marketed in the 90's on some Howa's
