Ken, I've posted this a few places, and sent an email inquiry to an old E-dress I had for you, and then somebody at HuntAmerica told me you had your own forum over here. I think thats great! I'm assuming you moderate it yourself, (must be a relief). I'm finally getting around to doing something concrete towards a .220 Howell. Is the CZ 24 a suitable start? I'm hoping to stay married through this project so a dakota is probably not in the cards. BD

I'm not at all familiar with the CZ 24 action.

<br>Any action that'll safely take a cartridge with an '06 rim and about 3.2 inches long (loaded) is hunky-dory for a .220 Howell -- especially if you load it the way I do (with somewhat less than the hottest pressures). Except for length, any action strong enough for the .22-.250 or the .220 Swift is strong enough for the .220 Howell.
