That right there's pretty cool! I'd be lying if I said I was not envious.

Ever get to change flat tires? smile

Not really flats but sometimes we do jack up the locomotive, pull out a truck and change a wheel set.

No kiddin'!!

As for me, I'm a Area Project Analyst for a Med/Surg supply company. I started in the warehouse and finished my degree while working for them. I've been there 15 years and they've taken good care of me. Anymore though, I'm mainly just happy to have a job!!

I spent 10 years fixing furnaces and air conditioners, then was hired by an engineering company and got the title of Right of Way Specialist, I do title research at courthouses, draft easements, drive around and talk to landowners about easement for power lines, wind farms, telecommunication, and some other things. I get to meet new people everyday but it has been taking me away from home and my other job as a new daddy to my little girl.

I was a heavy civil construction project manager. Used to build bridges, dams, highways, tunnels and airports. Got tired of traveling project to project. Wanted to start a family and live in a smaller town - got a job working for the county as the highway maintenance superintendent.

I work in the quality organization doing audits and first piece inspections for the world's largest maker of jet engines. Kind of boring, but it keeps me in toys.

Retired now, though some call it freeloading.

Formerly owned a print/graphics shop, worked as a design tech for a ship building/design company, and previous to that Veterans Affairs.

Sitting here taking my Metoprolol and Enalapril, looking at that picture and thinking, uhhhhhhhhh yeah frown

I remember that kind of scene, that's the kind of scene I was in when I was first told I was going to get to take these little gems for the rest of my life.

Thank God for you and others like you, who help people like me get the help we need to stay here.

I took carpentry, maintenance & repair through high school. In my senior year a police recruiter for the D.C. police department came to my school recruiting for a new cadet program. I joined at 18, did 30 years, and retired at 48. Always did residential remodeling on the side so I just continued that after retirement, along with gunsmithing. I recently turned the contracting business over to my son. Now I just spend my time building rifles, hunting, fishing, working on my daughter's houses, and getting called in to help my son once in awhile. Sure beats chasing the cockroaches in DC.
