Which reticle would you recommend for the Nightforce 8-32x56, I am sneaking up on reserves for my purchase. To be honest I have it narrowed to the NP-R2 and the Dual Dot. I ask you because you done been there and done it. I really appreciate the help, Tim.

Oh yeah, this rifle WILL see prarie dog hunts and it is a switch barrel. I have a #17 Krieger 6BR barrel to use on the sage rats. I say this as I will need your opinion on the best for a dual purpose reticle for F-Class 600 yd targets and prarie dogs.

Let me also invite other opinions to this as well, really appreciate it, Tim

For those two applications, go with the dual dot. I have both of those reticles and unless you are doing alot of rangefinding, the NP-R2 is a little busy. The lines and dots on the DD are good enough for hold off in the wind and you'll be clicking for elevation, anyway.

The Dual Dot is the one Bill Shehane likes too for the 1000yd meets. That is probably the one I should consider.

I am using the dual dot and it is okay. My next 1000 yd BR scope will have a fine crosshair and dot. However, I think the DD would be better for what you are describing.
