+1 on the blueprint Scott

Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.

The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.

Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.

I'll take it!

Really a nice rifle.I'll be looking for a donor soon.

I'll probablly build very close to your blueprint Steelhead but might go 22" on the barrel.

It's a sweet little rig. Thinking of another small caliber build but with a Winchester Fwt Contour tube at 20 or 21 inches, in an Edge stock.

erich, thanks for the load data, this website 's amazing , great bunch of guy's just ask and you shall recieve, from what I have seen 6 x 45 the one I am going with ! Scott when you get those douglas barrel's in do you lap them at all or just shoot ? I have been shooting cut barrel's and man are they slick , don't notice any fowling or copper in the brux's and rock creek's I had built , can't say the same for my button .338 wm douglas , shoot"s fine but a little rougher interior finish, they still shoot where you point em. Also has anyone tried a 6 x 45 AI similar to a 6TC and if so is it worth the gain ??

No, I don't lap, just point an shoot. I've found CM Douglas barrels to foul a bit but since I don't use them any more...

I thought about a 6mm TCU for a moment but went 6x45 route to be able to distinguish between 223AI and 6x45.

When I had my 6x45 I always put the loads in Lake City brass for two reasons. It uses the mlitary headstamp which solves the mismatched headstamp issue. Also contrary to popular belief it has larger case capacity. www.6mmbr.com has a great article on case capacities of various 223 cases.

Sierra reloading book has a 6x45 secion. There is a sticky thread on Predator Masters(Reloading and Ammo board I think)that has several pages of load data...good luck, that is one caliber on my list.

I was able to get the 75 Vmax to higher velocities and better accuracy than the 70 BT...

In a 22" barrel I was able to safely achieve 2975 with both TAC and H335...

80's give me 2775 to 2825 and 85's give me 2725 or so, safely...

In my 6x45 upper, I'm running the 75 Sierra HP and 24.8 grain AA2015 for 2750. When these are shot up it will strictly be fed 75 Vmax's...
