I'm just getting into loading the 30'06 and .243 win. This looks like a powder that will deliver top speeds with both cartridges as well as my 300 wsm. Anyone use this powder much in the mentioned and did you get accurate loads. I'm thinking it might be nice to inventory powder that works well in more than one gun. I have a bunch of re17 that might work the same for the three cartridges but was kind of thinking about trying a different powder with my 300 wsm just for kicks.

I've never tried it in the 300WSM, but for 95-100gr bullets in the .243 and anything from 150-180gr bullets in the '06 (and especially the 165gr), it's just the ticket. It also does good things with 140 and 160gr bullets in my .270 Winchester.

You can't go wrong with IMR or H 4350 (atleast for '06 and WSM). Being in MN, the H4350 may be a bit more temp stable re. velocity variations.

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

It's my favorite powder in three rifles, 25-06,30-06, and 7saum.

Works well in our 300WSM, 270, 30-06, and 243... do have individual powders that do better with each one, but can't complain about the H-4350 in any of the above...
The RL-17 was one of the better powders in the 243 with 95 grain bullets...

Just started using it in my new 300 wsm. It is hard to beat: 5 shot group with 165 hornady spbt's. Just a good ol hunting load.

From my 300 WSM, H-4350 delivers very good accuracys, while RL17 delivers the best speeds with good enough accuracys for hunting. If you want to try another powder for your 300 WSM, look for that new Hodgdon Superperformance. I will be doing the same.

No experience with the 300 WSM but I use H-4350 exclusively in 30-06 (165gr) and 243 (100gr).

I use H-4350 for 85-105gr in the .243, I've always found it to be a great powder in appropriate applications.
