"KS" isn't Remington's nomenclature for a Kevlar stock via McMillan?

Dat's what I have and referenced.................

Sorry Stick, I thought he was asking me what I meant by KS fill. But you are right, KS I'm sure stands for Kevlar stock.

Light fill will get you Weatherby glass in the action area. You need to specify Remington glass in the action area, but it's easiest just to say make it like a KS.

My KS Mountain handle, bests my lightest "light filled" offering,by 6 ounces.

Obviously the heavier handles are more rigid, but I FL bed my light tubes and the KS 25-06AI shoots like a dirty bastard in that guise,if not a touch better. It is sinister.

Back to wishin',I'd dig a 24oz all up Swirly EDGE Mountain Rifle pattern, but cain't bitch a whit about my current configurations.

Dreams is free................

Mucho light.

Mountain Hunter Kevlar Specials ROCK!

Thanks Mr. Sisk!

Not trying to be a smart-a here, this is an honest question.

Without reading about these options on this forum, where would a potential customer find this information? I complimented you on your website but admit haven't totally read every last word on all the pages (yet) so if it is there then I apologize or not doing my homweork.

I've read about specifying "light fill" or "heavy fill" but again, only on this and a couple of other internet forums. Now I see "Weatherby glass", "Remington glass", "make it like a KS" - how do you know to specify the right option you want or even ask the right questions about options available unless you know those options exist?

Again - not bitching here, just offering hopefully constructive customer feedback.

Yup.

Can't not have another.

Was hoping they'd make a Ti in a LA .532, but no luck yet.

Prolly gonna go with a SS.

Besides, it's hard to rub it in to a guy with your quiver. I'm still a greenhorn.

Unfortunately it would be impossible for us to publish all we have learned from 30 years of making stocks. Our catalog is already large and expensive. Even on the website, someone would have to write the information. Dick and I are the only people who could do that, and to be honest, we both have other jobs that keep us busy. So, calling us on the phone to discuss what it is you want, is the best way to get obscure information that you might find usefull.

Rick-

Teeder just posted the whereabouts of a SS Mountain rifle in .338 Win Mag over on the Free Classifieds thread about the 25/06 SS Mtn rifle, if you don't already have an SS laying around.

Its seems like the Remington KS Mcmillian is a hard to find stock. Have you guys thought about offering it or something very similar in your own lineup?

We have an agreement with Remington not to sell the stock to anyone but them. The only stocks they buy are for rifles they sell. Since they don't break or wear out, not many people are changing them. I suspect that is why they are hard to find.

But, we do offer the Mt Rifle stock, which I like better than the KS.

McMillan,
1. How about posting pics of different swirl combo's with recipes here or on your website so people know what they're getting.

2. What is the weight difference betwix the Hunters Edge and a Swirl mountain rifle stock (For a Rem 700).

Thanks
