Glad to see it, but I'd prefer a rifle in that caliber.

If it is the old 5mm Rem Mag I just don't see the value in it since ammo is pretty limited & currently runs about $21 per 50.

Not to mention ballistics would probably be less than spectacular out of that revolver.

There as been new ammo available for a few years. There will also be a new rifle chambered in 5mm coming out this year. I'll get more info on that shortly and post it. Here is the ammo link. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/default.aspx?productNumber=525113

They had those at the 2008 NRA Show, but are just now turning them loose? I wonder why it took them so long, I've been hearing about them for three years................

If anyone is looking for this sort of abortion, why not just get one of Taurus's "Raging Hornets" in .22 Hornet? I load 22 Hornets for my Ruger rifle for $6-7 a box/50....much cheaper than the $18-21 a box/50 that the 5mm rounds cost.

Because I rather have a 5mm than a .22 Hornet. Why do you care what I spend my money on? You think it's an "abortion", fine, that's your "opinion".

From what I have seen and if I am not mistaken, the .22 Hornet has it's problems in a revolver - due to the taper in the body of the case. I don't know anything about the 5mm, but if the case wall lacks such a taper, I think that would be an advantage.

Get a 204 Ruger rifle, and save some bucks.
Well we're Green and we're Gold, and we play better when it's cold. All us Cheese heads have our favorite superstar. We love Brett Favre.

Get a .327, a .32H&R, a .38S or the above mentioned .22H. 5mm will have the same issues in a handgun that the .22M suffers from........it will still just be a varmint and bunny gun. Ya want more from a handgun than a .22LR? Get a centerfire.
My 2 cents, CB
