I think he might have bought that one off of Mule Deer a while back. Maybe the buyer can get some stories from JB about some hunts it was on.

I need a 284 of some sort. I had a custom one stolen many years ago. I have saved the brass and a few cartridges. Always thought I'd like a 99 in 284, my first boss had one. I assume fewer 284's were made than some of the other cal. PS CALHOUN I like your new avatar or what ever it;s called.

I just bought a 90% or so 99F in 284 a couple of weeks ago for $600 with an old Weaver K4 mounted. Looks like the fella bought it and mounted up the scope in 196whatever and its been that way ever since. Any body have any leads on brass? Winchester or Norma 6.5X284 necked? Good bullets and loads?
