Williams Gun sight does gunsmithing. They have a websight.

2muchgun,
I have several gunsmiths that I use. I can highly recommend Al Siegrist in Whittemore. (Up by Standish) I also use Dick Williams in Saginaw on a regular basis. (989-777-1240) (No relation to William Gunsight)
Also, If you call Sinclair, there is a gunsmith in Eaton Rapids (just south of Lansing) that they use to build benchrest rifles. I had his name, but misplaced it. I have seen evidence of his work and couldn't see anything wrong with it. Hope this helps...the9.3Guy

Are you talking about Dwight Scott? If needed I can get his number from Dick Wright.
Last I heard Dick Williams has a 2 year wait for a custom job. I'll see my hunting pal at work tonight, see how Dick is doing. Rich pretty much lives at Dicks shop

I would call Williams gunsite if you want to keep the build in Michigan. Ask for Rob to build the rifle of Kevin.
Rob does great work but I am not sure if he is still there.
Another one that does good work is RedBone at Williams.

He does build custom rifles on a limited basis. We're in the middle of the benchrest season so he's likely pretty busy.

AJ300Mag,
I do believe it might be Dwight Scott that I was referring to. I could use his number if you can come up with it. I am not in a particular hurry, tho'. I thought I might use him to build my 1000 yd. 6.5/.284 on a 40-X action. Thanks in advance....the9.3Guy

I switched from Williams Gunsight to D&D in Troy. They do really great work at good prices and quick turn around. They also have a REALLLLLY Sweet 9.3x62 for sale . A mere $1500.00. The number is 248.583.1512

Al Siegrist has built a litter of rifles for me over that last 20 years. He is the best kept secret as a gunsmith I know of. He is GOOD! And, talented. I have a Rem 700 action I just bought and a 25 caliber barrel I'll be taking over to him soon to have a rifle built by him. He's not easy to find, so give him a call first for directions. I can give you directions from how I go, but coming from Alpena you go a different way. His phone number is: 989-873-3929. His place is at the back corner of his father's farm on Turtle Road. Don
