Not often I get such a mix of rifles at the range. Since we are kinda limited in our options this is pretty unusual. 1. 7mm Rem Mag/G30 Action pretty standard 2. 7mm Rem Mag /G30 Action with tan coating. I thought it would be kinda ugly but it wasnt half bad. Maybe the customer is right sometimes. 3. 243 Win on Rem 700 pretty standard 4. 7mm Rem Mag on Rem 700 pretty standard 5. 7MM Rem Mag on Left hand Rem 700 with McMillan A-3 Gel coat 6. 243 Win on Rem 700 With McMillan Edge A-3 Next gun is a Borden Action that Jim sent for T&E.

nice...how much does the Edge A-3 weigh?..just the handle.
Thanks to you John, a very good cartridge is finally getting the respect it deserves........the 7mm Rem Mag is a good one, but very underappreciated.

It might be the alcohol, but I see 7 and a half.
Didn't we see this photo several months ago?

Didn't we see this photo several months ago? That would be easy to check.

Should build a 300 Win John to compliment the 264 and 7 mag offerings.

Should build a 300 Win John to compliment the 264 and 7 mag offerings. We often debate that but now that so many guys are seeing the 7mm Rem for what it is the demand gets less each year. One place the the 300 Win might really shine is with the new LRX bullets. I always thought the 30 cal x seemed to hit a little harder due to the greater frontal area in a bullet like the X after it has stopped expanding and is behaving like a solid. They are sending me 30s with the proto 7s and we will see.

And, who would that be? Serious question here. I am fully aware you want to know whose barrel I use but I am not going to tell you. I stand behind the performance of each gun, not the barrel maker. You want to know who makes the best barrel just buy a test batch of barrels from each maker, in each of the twist and land/groove configurations that might be applicable and then chamber them up and test to your heart content. It gets pretty pricey but you sure will learn a lot. Good Luck
